Situated in the middle of Glasgow at the top of a hill beside the Forth- Clyde canal, this was the first distillery visited by Alfred Barnard on his journey around the United Kingdom distilleries starting in 1885. The distillery was named after Thomas, Lord Dundas. The distillery is due to shut down in 2010 with the workload being moved to Cameronbridge distillery. The site is owned by Diageo and would have been celebrating 200 years of production this year.
