A substantial red brick building built in 1938 on the site of an old shipyard on the banks of the river Clyde just west of Glasgow. Rumoured to be the fattiest grain made in Scotland most is used in Ballantines blended whisky. In the shadow of the imposing Dumbarton Rock a mile in circumference and protruding 260 feet out of the sea.
