The Aultmore distillery was built in 1896 and reconstructed in 1971. It is located near the town of Keith. The distillery takes its name and its water from the Achinderran burn, the name meaning “big stream” in Gaelic. As nearly all the malt goes for blending, this is an extremely rare single malt.
